The Sastipoorthi celebrations of Mr.R.PRAKASH RAO, s/o RAJAGOPAL, have been celebrated on 24th and 25th JANUARY2012 at16-3-268,Mungamuri vari Street,Nellore-524001. The entire family of R.Prakashrao&Vijayalakshmi, gathered in good number to wish the Sastipoorthi Couple.
EVENTS ON 24th JANUARY
The celebrations started with Ganapathi Homam at 8.00 AM followed by PanchaGravaya Prasana and 108 Mruttika Snanams at Maipadu beach( Bay of Bengal which is 25 KM from Nellore) on 24th January 2012 at 12.00 PM amidst Vedic Chantings by purohit with good gathering of relatives and friends even at the beach. The 108 Mruttika snanams were performed by Sastipoorthi Couple with Turmeric,fresh Utthareni sticks(for brushing purpose) along with Mruttika (the pious mud) taken from Tulasi Vanam along with Surya Namaskarams.After the bathing the Sastipoorthi Couple with family have a Namaskarams around the holy Aswath Tree(Ragi Chettu).
The above entire Beach Program was designed & organised by Chandrasekhar(My Maternal Uncle) and made it a grand Success in his own style and ended with a delicious Lunch at Home.
At 7.00 PM, on the day, while the Maha Mandapam was being prepared for all the pious Yagnas by 10 Vedic Pundits , with 76 Mantra Kalasas, (60 Kalasas for Prabhavadi Samvastaras, 9 for Navagrahas,4 for Chaturdisa Varna Kalasas, 3 for Mrutyu,Ugraratha, Mrtunjaya Main Kalasas), the remaining Devathas being invited through Mantra Samhitha Tambula Awhayanam.
The Shastipoorthi Couple then entered the Maha Mandapam amidst Veda Parayana and after Ganapati Pooja, the Rutvigarvanam, Panchagavya Prasana, the Maha Mandapa Aradhana was conducted. After Mangala Neerajana Mantrapushamulu, the day's Aradhana was concluded.
